Hi friends,
Sarees are an integral part of traditional Indian outfits. Whether it is a silk saree or a fancy saree when it is worn it adds to a woman's beauty. To make sarees look even more beautiful tassels are added to their pallu. Now there is a wide range of designs and veriety available in tassels. Today I am going to share one such design for making saree tassels.
The required materials are
Take ten strawnds of the silk thread. Now thread these strands in the small needle. Pass the needle through the fabric and add a round bead.
Pull the strands through the bead.
Now cut the strands off. Make sure the strands are long enough to tie knots.
Tie the knot as shown below. To make sure that the knot is tight and exactly below the round bead use a needle as shown in the picture to position the knot.
Next step is to pass an angular bead through the strands.
Again put a knot below the bead.
Thread fifty strands of silk thread through the larger
Needle. Now pass this needle through the strands between the angular bead and the knot below it.
Once you have the length of strands adjusted according to length required for tassel cut off the extra thread.
Now tie the strands using zari thread.
You can see how adding tassels makes a saree look beautiful.
