Beaded saree tassel design - 2

Hi friends,
Today I am going to show you another beaded saree tassel design which is very simple to make. I tried this design on my mother's new silk saree and it turned out really nice. She wanted something simple and I thought this design will be perfect for it.

The materials required for making this tassel are

  • Silk thread (Five strands for first step and fifty strands for second step)
  • Large and small needle
  • Small round beads
  • Zari thread
  • Scissor

Thread the five strands of silk thread in small needle. Pass the needle through the fabric and add a small round bead.

Pass the strands through the bead. Make sure the strands are long enough to tie a knot and cut off the extra thread with scissor.

Now tie a knot below the round bead. If you don't know how to tie a knot please visit my last post, where I have explained in detail about it.

Leave a gap of around one and half centimetres and repeat all the above steps to add another bead. Now hold the strands from both the beads together and tie a knot as shown below.

Thread fifty strands of silk thread in larger needle. Pass this needle through the gap between both the beads and the knot below. Pull the strands through the gap.

Make sure the strands are of appropriate length for making a tassel. Cut off the extra thread with scissor.

Tie the strands using zari thread.

The final result is looks something like this...
